Ways to Get Involved
It’s time once again for Akron Fossils & Science Center’s annual Silent Auction and Carnival Fundraiser! This benefit is our single largest fundraising event of the year. Because of the generous support from families and businesses like yours, Akron Fossils continues to be a staple in the Akron community, providing fun and meaningful educational opportunities.
Bidding for our Silent Auction begins on Saturday, September 28th and runs through Friday, October 4th. All week long you have the opportunity to bid on fantastic items online. Pick-up your winning bids at our in-person Family Carnival on Saturday, October 5th from 10am to 5pm at Akron Fossils and Science Center. Even if you don’t bid on or win an auction item, join us at the carnival for food, games, prizes, raffles, fun and more.
Donations and Sponsorships
Are you looking for more ways to support Akron Fossils and Science Center? We are a non-profit 501c(3) organization, and because of that, we rely on the generous support of patrons, families, businesses and friends who love what we do. Your support is essential to keep AFSC flourishing. Participating in our Online Silent Auction and Family Carnival event is one of the best ways to support us, but if you are looking for additional ways to give back to the Akron Fossils and Science Center community, here are a few more options.

Would you consider donating an item to include in our silent auction? Donation ideas include gift cards and certificates, coupons, merchandise, themed gift baskets with various items, vouchers for services, tickets or passes to sporting events, theaters, concerts, museums, and amusement parks and centers or any other tangible items.
