If you have ever longed to be the master of your own ship, then we have an opportunity for you. Akron Fossils and Science Center will be offering a Learn To Sail class. This class is designed for beginners who would like to learn the basics of sailing. All ages (7 & up) and experience levels welcome. Cost is $70 and will include two on-land classes at AFSC, Tuesdays, May 20th and May 27th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, and one four-hour, on-water class the week of June 2nd, weather permitting. The Boundary Waters Canoe Trip is scheduled for July 28th - August 5th, 2025. If you are interested in attending, there is an informational meeting Thursday, May 22nd at 6:00pm at AFSC where details will be discussed further.
